The tradition of U.S. Presidents leaving notes for their successors is a fascinating one, though it doesn't specifically involve Abraham Lincoln. However, Lincoln's legacy has certainly influenced many presidents. After his assassination, Lincoln became a symbol of unity and emancipation, inspiring future leaders.

During the Reconstruction era, newly freed slaves played a significant role in shaping the political landscape. They sought leaders who would advocate for their rights and address the injustices they had faced. This period saw the election of Black officials and the push for policies that would protect the rights of former slaves. The impact of these efforts is still felt today, as the fight for equality and justice continues.

Billy Mentos came into Sonnys last week, well the Thursday before as it is Sunday.  He asked how much the Mentos tube of candy was.  He had a real big dad with him but young Billy Mentos asked sonny as a curious 4 year old,, maybe advanced 3,, how much this one was.  Thinking about “English/German/ well all of the ones where children should be seen and not heard, I realized that little boy with lots of pigment was me exactly.  What can I say, Mom thought kids that talk a lot might love to just say something to someone at anytime.  So his Dad was like my mom in this case, implying Go ask how much or just say something.  Is Dad seemed not to sure what would come out of him at any time.

So we heard you were all cold racially?  Well if I can’t impress you with cold, my friend is cruel but to be cruel to young African-Americans he tries to get them to attempt college.  If you save 100 one dollar bills and get 10 friends, he will attempt to match 100-1 and invest, not guaranteeing anything.  He makes you cold because that white man just took your hundred.  So if you do feel like letting this white doctor grow cruel to you, go ahead and have your kids go ahead and ask for a dollar every now and then for the college fund.  It really may pay off.  As for what I said to Billy.  All I could think to say was “Try Mentos, The Fresh Maker.”  The radio announcer in me nailed it and I left happy.

Word comes in about “Too much Shultz today.”

Was it the nozzle on the brewing photo?

If it was just do the mix in a garbage bag without some nozzle on it.

Ok the community represented may dislike the product.  To note the name Shlitz may be upsetting for calm, relaxed decent working Americans who love people and the NAACP, to argue there wasn’t at one time such a product is a bit to revisionist for the staff, we know you yourself remember brown bag empty pocket man, but if you didn’t it looks like some animal on a label

Basketball final four set up now but as a Black Woman do you care that much about Baby Boy’s good time.

The story about Billy Mentos brought Shultz invasion like you would NOT believe.

Billy Mentos should meet Snickers, Kit Kat, Eskimo Pie, Reeses, Reeses Pieces, Churro and Klondike.  (Young candy and ice cream novelty nicknames given to some  kids of different ethnicities)

--à Hey as a person Bill said that Americans look like all kinds of things.  I need to talk about the Immigrant thing.  In the old country (any continent) a guy might have done something because of money or political reasons.  The fact that Bill Williamson’s name is from the Alabama and they speak Black there is true.  Our family won financially and politically.  They have these things called “peoples revolutions” so to say to a new Black this a Black just like you is wrong.  Yes Bill would give the person the benefit of the doubt on it, but in a way the guy after the peoples revolution hated you for winning and see’s you as the American every time.  Putting some Black from Russia on him really confused stuff.  He tries but man, nailed to that Black cross words intended to “shock” Blacks or put people thinking they had better not get involved grew tired.  So Ok your technically right about Black thinking not being cool in relaxed America.  I thought I had it learned real good.  It’s the computer thing,  our year was supposed to learn everything it could do.  It weren’t me that said kids that want to be like him should break the year blessing.

Later on Homey.  This cookie the clown is making Bozo and need money so gut luck.  The ultimate question of who she is in Black that he would have abandoned all others for.  First things first, everyone in the Caucasian place felt a guy like me could get something of a best one at a Black School.  These Caucasians do not get this at all.

First on screen the Hillman College set woke me up to lots of stuff.  It wasn’t Lisa Bonet but she is a great friend it was her friend that I could not get out of.  Lisa allowed escape to much, not in my opinion or anything I love escape.  (Cosby Show, A Different World) So since it was a long time ago it was Halle Barry who nailed a part written by me for her in Monsters Ball.  Winning someone an Oscar will buy you some love.

Locally, why don’t you leave that to us.

This is the one time list from way back of who would have been at the party.

Fiction 1: A field trip to the Cook County Correctional Facilities 1973

The anticipation was palpable among the fourth graders of Mrs. James's class as they boarded the yellow Kickert school bus, each with a signed permission slip clutched in their hands. The destination was a mystery, but the promise of an educational experience at one of Cook County's facilities had the air buzzing with speculation and excitement. As the bus rumbled towards its undisclosed location, the children chattered about the possibilities. Could it be the historical courthouse, or perhaps the public health center? The bus turned a corner, and the imposing gates of the Cook County Correctional Facilities came into view, drawing a collective gasp from the young passengers. This was no ordinary field trip; it was a journey that would leave an indelible mark on their young minds, offering a glimpse into the complexities of the justice system and the realities that lay beyond their classroom walls. As they returned to Churchill Elementary, the sun setting on that early spring day, the lessons learned were not just about the facilities they visited, but about the broader world they were just beginning to understand.

In Mrs. James' fourth-grade class, curiosity was the compass that guided their educational journey. Homewood, a serene suburb of Chicago, provided a backdrop for these young minds to explore and grow. The diverse backgrounds of the students, from Bruce with his dentist father to Bill, the son of a metallurgical engineer, enriched the tapestry of their experiences. Their field trips were more than just excursions; they were adventures into the heart of nature and the fabric of the community, leaving indelible marks on their youthful spirits. These experiences, permission slips in hand or not, promised to be cherished memories for years to come.

Bill's journey from the familiar streets of Idlewild Lane to the imposing sight of Cook County Jail is a stark contrast that captures the essence of a young boy's confrontation with the complexities of the adult world. The year 1973, set against the backdrop of the Cold War, adds a layer of historical significance to Bill's personal narrative, reflecting the tensions of the era. His Black heritage and the pride his family holds in their roots and accomplishments, such as his father's Bill's journey from the familiar streets of Idlewild Lane to the imposing sight of Cook County Jail is a stark contrast that captures the essence of a childhood intersecting with the broader world. His red pullover, a vivid splash of color against the grey backdrop of the jail, symbolizes the innocence and vibrancy of youth amidst the complexities of adult institutions. The experience, undoubtedly a departure from his everyday life, offers a glimpse into the realities that shape our society, seen through the eyes of a child with a rich cultural heritage and a family deeply rooted in the American experience during a turbulent time. PhD, paint a picture of a family's pursuit of the American Dream amidst global uncertainty.

Bill grew up on Idlewild lane with an older and younger brother.  His father worked as an Engineer and held his PhD proudly.  He walked to Churchill that day in March having just turned 10 years old.   The class assembled and everyone filed to the bus.  By the way Bills grandfather is an immigrant from Russia and speaks Black and English fluently.  Therefore his last name reflects his Black roots.  In 1973 the cold war rages on and Bill himself feels America should win.  Bill had on a red pullover shirt and a pair of jeans he had a modest weight blue coat with him.  The sun shone and the bus lurched off.  Pat Fisher knew where the bus would wind up.  Pat, a bit of ruffian with a father with a bit of the past tried to keep quiet but as a natural leader with an attitude shouted his knowledge.  The mostly quiet ride led to a place surrounded by barbed wire and looked as if a junk yard dog could find comfort within.  Pat proved correct; this place did not resemble anything like a 10 year old Homewood boy could relate to.  They had gone from Churchill school in Homewood to Cook County Jail.

The story you've shared weaves together elements of community, sharing, and faith, reminiscent of ancient traditions where breaking bread was a sacred act of fellowship. It highlights the timeless human values of generosity and togetherness, especially in the context of the Middle East where hospitality is deeply ingrained in the culture. The narrative also touches on the concept of 'saving' in a communal setting, suggesting a shift from individual to collective well-being, a theme that resonates across many cultures and eras.

Hey remember the Latin guy that felt “forbidden to talk to me.”  I get real big to him and go  listen and say something to get it on record about religious.  The Arab man called him Sharifee.  You  say I am Shareefee then you are Shareefee then of course I was Shareefee.  But about bread guy, Can you live on it was going around.  So yeah believe it or leave my hearings.  The Jewish Carpenter put a piece of bread in his pocket for lunch.  In my ears my “eat bread!” said, “I was saving that  Anyway the best trick was getting people together, but in the Middle East Holy Land part of that, A celebration starts and he asked for bread and wine donations and people did because they wanted to attend.  The blessing is offered and I heard it as Mark, go away with some for the morning.  In those days Marc may have been hungry, but there is no way Marc eats it until the morning with people.  So the party goes on and they eat it all up and sleep in what I figure was a tent city type thing.  They wake up and are like another day looking for food, and Marc shows up and they just love again.  This saving thing was just not known.

Leftovers from making up some bread water can be used to feed the pet.   Big old Lisa takes it out to me, you can use it on pigs.  I’m like over in my Michigan we went through this with her, the guy went “Berry Mash” pigs and he feels his are the best tasting.  About the leftovers being Chicken Feed or Horse Feed if you had a lot of it you could sell it.

But about Berry Mash distraction, if you enjoy berries you might think it would build fat content in the animal many enjoy.

For your Berries

1 pint,

¼ cup (corn) oil,

4 Tbsp Sugar, cooked up like in a pot or microwave.

Since it’s to easy to make this pie filling use the commune at Illinois Corn Starch about a palm uh that,  mush graham crackers or get it right in the crust and it’s a great berry pie.  Of course the pigs would eat it.

Hey, he was no Cindy Brady Thanks “Bob” for being Bobby, I know you borrowed the truck.  You see Bob and Me would have just have to defended “C”
